Microsoft Outlook Error 0x80040201 when sending

When you try to send/receive from Outlook the following error message is reported:
Unknown Error 0x80040201

Unknown Error 0x80040201

CAUSE:
This can happen if you disconnect Outlook from Exchange server and reconfigure it to use a local .pst file instead of an Exchange server mailbox. After this some Global Address list entries may stay cashed in Outlook client and will cause this error.  Before sending the message Outlook will try to resolve all the recipients and since Global Address List is not available any more, it will report an error.

SOLUTION:
Remove the cashed entries from the Outlook client.

Delete the .nk2 files in which Outlook keeps those entries.
They are usually located unde the following location:

WIndows XP/2000
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Windows Vista /Outlook 2007
C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\outlook

.nk2 files are hidden system files and therefore it can happen that you can't find them using search.  To be able to find/see them, in Windows Explorer, under Tools | Folder Options | select the View tab and select "Show hidden files and folders". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files".
