If you cannot use MS Word Keyboard shortcuts ( 'Ctrl+C' , 'Ctrl+V') in Windows 8
1. Open MS Word
2. go to File > Options
3. go to Customize ribbons then click 'Keyboard shortcuts : 'Customize...'
4. select 'Home Tab' in Categories
5. in Commands find 'EditCopy' and then in field 'Press new shortcut key:' press 'Ctrl+C' and click 'Assign'

3. go to Customize ribbons then click 'Keyboard shortcuts : 'Customize...'
4. select 'Home Tab' in Categories
5. in Commands find 'EditCopy' and then in field 'Press new shortcut key:' press 'Ctrl+C' and click 'Assign'
6. Do this again with 'EditPaste' = 'Ctrl+V' , 'EditFind' = 'Ctrl+F' , 'Editcut' = 'Ctrl+X' and all you need.
